About the Artist
I’m Michelle Rose, a surrealist artist with Nigerian, Ghanaian and Lebanese heritage, raised in Maryland and now based in Miami. Coming from a big family of creatives and with artistically inclined parents, art has always been a part of my life. My love for film, video games, and music sparked my fascination with surrealism, leading me to create vivid, dreamlike worlds filled with bold colors. Through my work, I explore imagination and emotion, blending the familiar with the fantastical to invite viewers into my unique vision.
I create art that exists in the space between reality and dreams. Whether through oil painting or illustration, my work emerges organically—guided by intuition, emotion, and the subconscious. Each piece unfolds like a vision, blending the familiar with the surreal, drawing inspiration from personal experience, art history, and the unseen.
Surrealism is my language, a way to express what words cannot. Through rich textures, intricate details, and symbolic imagery, I seek to evoke a sense of wonder, mystery, and contemplation. My art is an invitation - to step beyond the ordinary, to question, to feel, and to see the world through a different lens.
